THE IMPLEMENTATION OF MIND MAPPING TECHNIQUE IN IMPROVING STUDENTS’ MOTIVATION OF WRITING

چکیده

This research is motivated by the lack of student motivation in writing report texts. study aims to increase class IX D students SMP Negeri 1 Kabuh using Mind Mapping technique. technique was chosen so that are enthusiastic expressing their ideas writing. To achieve this goal, researcher determined criteria for success, more than 70% were during process. classroom action uses Kemmis and Taggart model 4 steps, namely planning, implementation, observation, reflection. conducted two cycles. Data obtained through observation sheets questionnaires. The results indicate able students' can be proven increasing motivation. In pre-writing, cycle 2 it increased from 66% 84%. For drafting, 2, 56% 75%. revising, 47% 72%. And editing, 63% 81%.
